The lakes in the frontcountry are all open - Minnewanka, Two Jack, Vermillion, Lake Louise, Moraine Lake, Emerald Lake and Consolation Lake. The backcountry lakes are opening up as well -  as Summer settles in all over the Canadian Rockies.Milder weather opens up the trails as well, back country and frontcountry - as the snow recedes and melts away.This is the most popular time to get and hike on the trails - short walks, day hikes and overnighters, backpacking extended trips are all become available.
